I have found a mint new 1977-78 Vince Cummings <u>graphite</u>,  4 piece, 8 1/2 foot, marked   for 7-8 weight. This rod still has Vince&#39;s clear plastic on
the cork grip and the original Cummings labeled tube is without flaw.  I am holding off on a purchase because I knew Vince&#39;s fiberglass rods... ]]></description>

			<description><![CDATA[ <p>I&#39;m helping a friend identify one of his rods and the value of the rod.  The  rod is 3/1 (probably was a 3/2) 9&#39; in length.  There are no
identification marks on it, but there is a rod bag that says &quot;CROSS Split Bamboo&quot;.  Below is a photo.  Can anyone confirm that it is a Cross and what
is the value?

			<title><![CDATA[ New old Orvis Battenkill and when was it built? ]]></title>

			<description><![CDATA[ I just tried Greg&#39;s Orvis data base and it only went up to 1947. Just picked up an old Battenkill 8&#39; 4 1/8 oz two tipped Battenkill that is in rough
shape but could be fished as is. The seller claimed it was built in 1960 but the serial # is 9693 and the writting on the rod states Orvis Impregnated on one
flat and on another states &quot;Pat-Pending&quot; Does anyone know when the rod was built?

glue was good for this kind of fix because it creeps well. Has anyone tried it? Is there another glue that would be better ?

			<title><![CDATA[ Looking for a snake guide for a Montague Flash ]]></title>

			<description><![CDATA[ I have an otherwise perfect early Flash that is missing 1 snake guide from the middle section. The originals are blackened. Interestingly, a small segment of
the original guide&#39;s foot is still in the wrap closest to the grip. That wrap is unscathed. The upper wrap has all of the original thread intact. The
thread unwound starting at the guide working towards the tipping. Only 8 or so wraps unwound - probably to remove the broken foot. I should be able to rewrap
and varnish it once I... ]]></description>
