Hello everybody,

Mark Wendt normally organizes this, and in an effort to help him out I offered to help out this year. It is that time again for the yearly announcement for the annual FYAO. 2010 marks the 9th year we've been meeting up on New Years day to do a little fishing and a lot of socializing. The format remains the same this year, as it has in the past.

First time post for me
I fished the Swift river this passed weekend. I almost forgot how pretty this stream is. Well It wasn't until around midnight that night... Can you see where I'm going with this?.. While trying to prevent my dog from getting sprayed by a skunk (unsuccessfully) that I said to myself, while looking in the back of my car, Where the heck if my pole! J@CK@$$!

The Yellow Creek Coalition (Bedford Co., PA) has recently built a road, parking lot and bridge to provide public stream access. The bridge alone ran $28,000. We're a 501-c-3 non-profit group. hydro fracturing in New York (and PA)

Hydro fracturing in the Marcellus Shale of NY and PA might soon be happening.

From what I have read Hydro fracturing for natural gas appears to be a long term environmentally disastrous process that is not worth the short term benefits. In case any other board members are concerned about this in New York (or in PA) I have pasted a draft letter from our local TU group asking the NY Governor to allow more time for consultation.
