The exchange of tapers forum is for classic and personally developed tapers. The definition of classic tapers are those tapers that were developed by rodmakers that are no longer alive. Please understand that rod makers who have developed their tapers, and are active in the community, should not have their tapers cloned, or shared, without their permission, please refrain for asking for those tapers as it infringes on the maker.

I just completed a Heddon Folsum blank for a friends Christmas gift. I taped on some guides and slid on a grip, then started casting. Wow that is a really nice
taper. I couldn't stop casting it. I like these Heddons. I notice the tapers that are mentioned are 1 1/2, 1 1/4 ect. A lot different than the tapers in
Rod DNA and Hexrod. Is there information on Heddon tapers out there somewhere? I just noticed a there is a 8' Folsum mentioned in another thread. Would
anyone share some Heddon...

It is my understanding that several Cross Sylph tapers may exist. Also, there may be some confusion of tapers with the Cross #1500, 7', 2/2 taper.
Lastly, I've heard that the SirD taper maybe a variant of the Sylph taper. All that said, I have attached the only taper I have obtained so far. This
taper implies that the Sylph is a HDH, or 6wt. The Cross #1500 7' I used to own was a 5wt. I've heard mention that the "True" Sylph is a
4wt.
