I recently purchased a copy of "Fly Paterns and their Origins" by Harold Smedley, 1943. It provides very interesting history on many old flies, including the Adams which was invented in 1922. Unfortunately it does not provide the original dressings. I am looking for a spanish book for a good friend Moscas Para La Pesca by Rafael del Pozo Obeso - it should be from 1987 - and I have a ISBN No. 84-241-2111-2 - anybody know where this book could be available in it's first edition - and at what price level ? I have tried Google - but get a awfull lot of spanish replies - but my spanish is limited to 4-5 words.

It has been bugging me for years, but I vaguely remember a delightful book that I can no longer remember the title nor the author. In the book the author discusses driving with his family through the eruption of Mt. St. Helens and almost not making out. In another part of it he describes a fishing lodge with a large wood sign out front that he places the hook of a fly of a deceased friend into the sign. He also described a scene where he and his wife were watching his very young son wading...

I was looking online for float tube accessories, and ran across the following description of a net bag to be attached to your tube, and just had to share it. "Floating fishwell easily keeps your fish fresh, for catch release or consummation." I think the author meant "consumption", but the word he used is priceless!

I know this has been discussed but, for the life of me, I can't find anything by searching the forum.

I have a copy of the first edition of the subject book, signed by John Gierach, with the silhouette of the angler using spinning tackle. Does anyone know how many of these got out, or even better how many were signed, before the publisher corrected the, uh... "problem"?
