I have a Folsom 1512 that I think was refinished. A
couple of weeks ago I saw one and notice the script was written in black, mine is white. Does anyone know what is correct?

Yes it is a sweet little 7 footer. I can see where someone may have refinished it then with the burgundy. Who ever did it was very good. When I received
the rod it looked new with the exception of a click in the ferrule. I took the female off, by pulling the pin and the glue was not holding at all. I was
surprised to find the female ferrule had no metal bottom to stop the male (basically a hollow tube). After resetting, I did get a pop back in it at pull
apart, I was surprised. Has...

I refinished a Folsom #1512 in September 2001 that looks like yours. It looked Heddon-made to me. The wraps were a deep brown with the red tipping,
unpreserved. The script was white india ink and looked just like that on your rod. It had a very tiny agatine stripping guide. The script said #1512-7'
along with the diagonal Heddon style script. Sweet little rod.

books say so. It is a dead match to my Heddon 31. Here is the handle and reel seat. Hopefully someone can tell me the color of the wraps for a 1512. As for
the redo, I am not absolutely sure it has been, but it is just to nice to be that old. The bag for it was rotten. I have the original tube, the large 2 inch
tube that also matches...

I agree that the writing looks to be Heddon issue. The two Folsoms I have both use black writing. Your rods are the first I have seen or even heard
mentioned to have white ink. I believe one of the trade rods (Harvey?) may have used white ink, so it may have been in stock. A photo of the reel seat will
confirm Heddon build.

Freestoner, what color are the wraps on your rod. The wraps on this one are deep burgundy to purple with a red accent. Thanks for the info, I had thought
they used white writing, but as I stated, the one I saw had black. I too agree that the writing is a good match for Heddon Script.

I have one with white script, a 1520. The script looks the same as yours- which appears to me to be the same handwriting as on the Heddon spiral signature
rods, although I'm no handwriting expert. .
