OK gents answer time..

L to R Farlow's, JW Young, Hardy, Farlow's, Timmy.

I do feel a little bad about putting my reel in this, but in mitigation, I have posted the reel before, and Turtledoc did get it in the first post. So I don't feel too mean.

Seeing as no one got all five reels, I'll just have to tie up some more flies for those of us that...

I,ll try fist pic left to right top row Dingley ,Young , Hardy second row. Timmy,s own made reel and from pic of drag I,ll say a Farlow. with no drag pic was a Dingley for sure holes and washer , but drag sure looks Farlow. Did I win ?? This was good idea. I have reel on way that is new to me, may put it up and see who can recognise it I can copy your idea Tim

I feel your pain......and consider this......I was only wrong on one reel (initially and then guessed correct with my second try to Tim).......and it wasn't the little guy that I was wrong about...........is it starting to come into focus

Sorry Tim.......I just hate to see other reel nuts in pain and had to throw them a life line ....

1 correct in the right position, 1 correct but in the wrong position, 2 wrong!

The perforation pattern on the spool of the little one reminds me of the reels marked "Jardine", but the almost flush position of the pillars with the rims reminds me of Monk.

On the next reel size up, there is a stamp that seems familar...Alex Martin?...left of the handle in the next to last photo.

Any chance any of these are Australian? Dawson, maybe, or Streamlight?...

OK, I'm still enjoying this, but I think I should give you another clue, well more of a statement... All the reels have been posted on the forum buy their various owners at the time.

And Bow river, keep going, you're in the top two.

I still can't believe I didn't remember seeing the check mechanism on that big guy.......there are some odd things still about that reel, but that check might as well be a signature since there was really only one firm that went out of their way to do stuff like that, and you must be pretty pleased with many of the guesses for the little guy

On a whim I thought I'd take some pics of reels. Well OK I've got a couple of new ones I want to show off. They go from 4" to 2 1/2", and just for giggles I'll offer a small prize to whoever can tell me who made each of them.
