If the ferrules and length are the same then the taper should be the same.
<br>
Assuming that both rods are of the same era or close.
<br>
During the same time all rods of the same length and ferrule sizing used the same taper.
<br>
I would imagine that the tapers probably changed a bit over the years.
<br>
I would think that it will be somewhat of a fluke if your tip male actually fits
<br>
your female though.
