And to your question about the box, yes it's original & came with the rod.

Typical Japanese rod, built and sold to mostly Amercian G.I.'s after World War II.

Usually worth maybe $50.00 to $100.00 as a decorative piece. Although the handle on your rod appears to be soiled, so I guess it might be a fisher!

I'm am avid fly-fisher, but I am very new to the classic rod segment. I recently dug up my great grandfather's bamboo fly rod that we believe he might have been using as far back as the 1920's. I'm looking for some guidance on what brand/model it is, when it was made, the value of it (if any), and any other info I can dig up.
