Hi Michael,

As to value, I'm sorry to say your Heddon would not merit much. Being it is a Model 13, one tip rod, short 2" of the original 9', and wrapped with
incorrect threads. Maybe a $100.00, or a little more? Would make a fine project rod for sure, and likely would make a pretty good fishing rod, albeit being two
inches short.

Probably wouldn't merit a full restoration, but if was cleaned up and rewrapped with the correct threads it would make a...

alas - upon examination using magnification, i did find the number 13 written below the spiral signature .... partially over the wrapping where the hook keeper
would be ...... the keeper is either missing or never had one....... since the wrap in this area appears to be original and there appears to be no damage to it
or anything indicating that one had ever been wrapped ........ i cannot know which is the case.

I would agree with Chuck. The most likely candidate for your rod would be the Model #13.

According to Michael Sinclair's Heddon book, the Model #13 was built for only two years, 1937,38, with an UL Pyralin seat and
NS Gunmetal ferrules. The correct wraps would be Orange/Black. These rods were supposedly to have been built with a Half-Wells
