        <![CDATA[ Seems as if whenever I stop to grab a smoke or gulp a sandwich whenever fishing a populated trout stream (I enjoy taking leisurely breaks and soaking in the
surroundings) I am encounterd by other fisherman

wanting to strike up a conversation. Seems the conversation invariably drifts to a question as to why I fish bamboo.


Some are genuinely interested, almost excitedly so, and most others are almost confrontational.

I have hundreds of bamboo rods.
<br>
Each one has its own feel.
<br>
Many by the same company and still a different feel.

Like they each have a soul,

each one wanting you to get to know it.

Some rods never get fished again by me as the feel was not right,

but, I still felt them begging me to cast them.

the common denominator for all of us is that we fish bamboo because we like it and for some of us we love it.  I personally love to fish bamboo for both

My fishing experience is fairly catholic, and has ranged from surf casting on  storm beaches to panfish in backyard ponds. Its all good fun, with greenheart,
fiberglass, graphite and bamboo.

For me the clear favorite is fishing for trout on Spring creeks. The tackle I use is secondary to the fishing. This is were it gets a little sticky. I have
