        <![CDATA[ I came across, what I thought was a pretty good deal, on a Orvis Madison 3wt.  Rod is new, never fished with the wrapper still on rod tube.  Soooo not like
me, I purchased it without much investigation and now I learn I waaaayyy over paid.  I have several Winston rods, to include a TMF and a 3wt Retro and I was
told the Madison is close to the same action.  With this said, I more so jumped on the deal since I love the action on the TMF &amp; Retro, more so the Retro.

			<description><![CDATA[ $700 may be a little too much for the Madison Grade of this rod but it is a scarce model and I don&#39;t have one but would like one for my collection.

I pay for condition, condition, condition and for one unused with warrenty in the tube why not! I never then look back after my purchase. It&#39;s a great
little rod, made a by a great rod maker, Ron White! Use it and have fun! Orvis will also make you another tip for it if so inclined, something i have done for
a few Orvis Rods.

			<description><![CDATA[ Update on my new purchase. I called Orvis and gave them the serial # to find out when the rod was built.  Per Orvis, rod was built by Ron White in May of 1988.

			<description><![CDATA[ Redfish, I couldn&#39;t agree more with the posts above.  I&#39;m sure you&#39;ll never look back.  I paid more for a particular rod than I should have a few
years ago, also for a fairly uncommon Orvis by the way.  It was hard to find, I wanted one, and that was that.  I love it and fish it wherever and whenever the
conditions fit.  Zero regrets, and very rarely zero fish--see how it works out?

heart will be beating hard in your chest... You tie on a size 16 Adams and flip it up to the top of a nice little pool, as a nice little trout comes up and
hits it with a splashy take...you will never remeber what the rod cost...

Anyway that first fish on a dry fly with a new rod...</p>

I have a certain place where I plan on using this little rod.  Fished this spot several times, never did much, but that does not mean there is nothing holding.
It&#39;s one of those spots that does not get much pressure, a bit hard to get to, lot&#39;s of overhanging bushes, just a perfect spot to float a dry.
