        <![CDATA[ Hi, I purchased a Rod from the estate of an elderly geltlman recently, and he indicated the Rod was a Paul Young  he had purchased many years earlier.  There
is no signature and nothing I found to indicate it is indeed a Rod made by Mr. Young.  In the research I have started, I have found that many Rods made by Mr.
Young were not signed.  Is there a means of identifying it as a Rod made by Paul Young?

			<description><![CDATA[ OK, now I see what&#39;s up with the guides; it&#39;s a spinning rod. I hate to be negative, because over the years Young certainly made or marketed rods with
a variety of features and fittings, but in this case I just don&#39;t see any feature that conclusively points to Young.

The rod is relatively early. In 1950 Young marketed a 7&#39;2&quot; spinning rod model with a 13/64 ferrule and a 7/64 tiptop. The bamboo weight without
fittings was 2.10 oz. and the average finished rod... ]]></description>

			<description><![CDATA[ Inconclusive at best. The rings made me think at first that yours is a spinning rod (see somewhat similar ring below, lower left, on a Paul H. Young spinning
rod), but another photo shows a stripping guide for a fly rod. The winding check does not entirely rule out the rod as a Young, but it is unusual.
