The latest being Balvenie Double Wood shared on day four of an 11 day self-guided float trip somewhere in Alaska.
Had it been any of the aforementioned malts, it would have been equally spectacular. Stylistically, I prefer the Islay. The peatier the better. Laphroig has a quarter cask and a cask strength bottling that are both very nice.
Talisker is a good one too.
Speysides are a nice change once in a while, too light and the appeal disappears.

I'll second that Famous Grouse is a good option.

The distillery is situated just around the corner from Cragganmore near Ballindalloch on the junction of the Spey and Avon (pronounced Arn).
