This is a blank made by Golden Witch based off the Dickerson 7613 but lightenen up a bit in the butt section. I purchased a blank from them and finished it out myself.

Thanks. I should clarify that the mid-section was replaced as well. During the restoration, we discovered the mid was probably not original so Bob built one for me. I had spoken to M. Keane about the rod, so I had the specifics. And his Thomas notes matched the description we found inside the tube's cap exactly. Now everything fits and this rod casts like a dream with a Sylk 5 wf.

This is my first post with pictures. If all goes well I'll be fishing my FE Thomas 8' 3/2 this very weekend. The rod needed work and I think Bob Nunley did a superb job in giving it a new tip and restoring it to original condition.

My go to rod would have to be a (clone) Martha Marie 5wt with a 3" Saracione MK-I reel spooled up with DT-5 XPS, and then it would have to be a F.E. Thomas 6' 8" 3wt with a Robichaud 2.8 and Phoenix Silk.

Interesting question, last year my "go to" combination was a Dave Norling's 7'9" 4 wt with a Hardy Bougle Lightweight III reel lined with a Rio ST II DT. I've picked a couple of rods since the trout season closed at the end of September, it will be interesting to see what rod I reach for most this year. The Norling is such a sweet rod for swinging wets/soft hackles that it will be hard to knock it out of it's "go to" status. My guess is that I will...

A rendition by Lew Parks of a Dickerson 801512-5wt Hollow Butt, paired with a Godfrey Classic 306 Reel lined with an Airflow DT-4. A sweet combination for our Western rivers.

Payne 8' 201 It was one of the rods that felt perfect for me right from the start. Built by Mike Brooks. I could go to the river just to cast the rod for fun, a few fish is a nice bonus. I like to use my Hardy Bougle 3 1/4" Reel on this rod.

I use a W&M Granger Victory 8.5ft. with a Medalist 1494 for trout and 9.5ft. Victory with a 1495 1/2 Medalist for pike and walleye. WLYBGR.

A Heddon Model 10, 8ft, 1 3/4f. I have lots of Heddons, including a couple Model 50, but this one feels like it was just made for me. Match it with an orvis CFO III.

8' 6'' 5/6wt with a well broken in 1494. Cortlands 333 Pro works well with it.

Fairly bored here waiting for the rain to change to snow. Was wondering what your current "go to" rod and reel might be?

Mine would be a Dave Male 7' 6" 2/1 for a 5 weight with a Hardy LRH and a Cortland 444 DT5 peach line.

I said I was bored! Can't get into reading right now and TV sucks! I guess I could get out all my gear and fondle it?
