Thank you for your years of service to the nation and the flyfishing community. Having communicated with you over the years, no matter how brief, was always an enjoyable time. Your REC Payne clone is still in good hands here in the Catskills. I think fondly of your insight to bamboo rods whenever I take that rod out to the stream. Take care! I tend to be more of a lurker than a poster, but this site has meant a lot to me over the past few years. It seems to me that the caliber of folks attracted to and involved in this forum are likely a reflection of your own character, and I believe that's high praise indeed!

Very few of us know how very close this forum came to being closed down by Clark just before you took it over. Thank you so very much for stepping up and keeping it going. I know it was a labor of love, and your computer expertise coupled with your knowlege, fascination and desire to spread the wealth about the many wonders of bamboo rods made for a perfect combination.
