Public is fine Pat. I think I've heard it best, "preaching to the choir" Fly fishing web site experience is what I am referencing but it does not matter what I think, you got it covered. Time to retreat to my own little spot, about 50 semi-active members and trying to keep it small and cozy, sort of like the places I like to fish. I can't stand fishing a really crowded spot, but sometimes it's fun to go to the fly fishing fair. Later.

I predict that the Forum is not going anywhere, and that any changes in the future will be for the good. This site is all about sharing information. Our members have diverse & rich experiences, as well as a willingness to pass along the most arcane details, advice, photos, contact info, recipes (both cooking & rodmaking) & memories. Banjo steps aside with the Forum in great shape--his groundwork has been critical, & his stewardship laudable.

Change is inevitable, it's about to happen here. The architecture I am referencing is more simple than this one. I've always built sites based on the slowest, non-computer literate person that was going to visit. This is a plastic rod compared to the bamboo one I am referencing. There are those who make sites and those who buy and sell them. I make web sites on fly fishing, have been since early on. That said, I am not offering to donate, I do that by visiting and offering information...

OK guys, I've read what Adam and Tom put up, were those posts in english? Being an old fart and new to computers I think, "if it aint broke" lets not try to fix it. Every time something changes in the way I need to use this computer I have to get out the owners manual and I have to tell you its a bit dog eared at this point.

I run the Fiberglass Flyrodders, another Yuku fly fishing discussion forum. I like the Yuku system because it helps me run my forum in the limited time I have available. Running a discussion forum like Clark's is a big investment of personal time. Running Clark's as a do it yourself sys-op is a huge time and training commitment. Running Clark's as a DIY sys-op with direct links to multiple similar forums would entail quitting the day job.
