I've met a lot of good people here, made some friends, learned a ton, laughed a lot, blustered a bit, pondered and mused, been stunned by kindness, wisdom and beauty. Seems doubtful that that will change. My best wishes to all of you.

Though, formally, a newcomer to the board, I have enjoyed it for the past two years after having taken a hiatus from the sport. I go back a way, however, having purchased my first cane rod from Bill Hunter nearly 30 years ago. I have a copy of Jeff's book in my personal library as well as owning or previously owning a number of rods so painstakingly documented with clarity in this wonderful volume.
