By the way: A reel that look identical to your mystery reel was offered by Len Codella back in -94.

In his spring -94 catalog he says it is 3 1/2 inch stamped 350 and 21 on the foot and lists it as a &quot;possible A L Walker prototype&quot;.

			<description><![CDATA[ I have a 4/0 and it has the new gears installed at the factory during production.  I was told by John Mathers, a respected authority on Hardys, that they
discovered this problem during production and the later serial numbers had the new part.  Soft multilying gears were replaced with harder ones, mine is #455
and it has the new gears.  Any number after that is OK, but low numbers may need to have the gears replaced. I think the new gears were put in somewhere in the
