Hi,

it's first time I'm posting here.

I've ordered a McFarland 8' 4wt glass blank and want to fish that rod with a classic Hardy Marquis reel.

What is the line capacity of the Marquis 5? ... and what is the weight of that reel?

Are there any special things I should look for when I buy one (ebay)?

Is it possible to say what price I have to expect for a Marquis 5 in a good condition?

Thanks!

Stefan

One additional point if you find the right deal on a 6 instead of a 5 jump on in the size/wt difference is not that great just add a bit more

hardy reels.

I liked the Hardy Lightweight Series; he opted for several SA/Marquis reels. And our individual stubbornness fueled the friendly, yet never ending verbal

I have a McFarland 8' 4wt - btw - an awesome rod. First chance I get, will put a Marquis 4, 5, and 6 on it and see what balances it best. This would be a
good comparison assuming you don't use an all cork reel seat that would effect weight of rod.
