			<description><![CDATA[ Short answer:  there&#39;s no way to know, because the rod has been stripped, and I assume that means the ink writing on the butt has been removed(?)  That is
usually (except on very early Grangers) the only sure way to tell what grade the rod was.  The lowest grades -- Champion, Stream &amp; Lake, and Victory -- had
one fewer guides than the higher ones -- Special and up.
