        <![CDATA[ I need to build a new  tip to scarf into my Tonka prince. If anyone has the  taper I&#39;d appreciate it.  I only need to make a 4&quot; section but the taper 
for at least the 10&quot; down from the tip would help.  Or the taper for the entire rod if it&#39;s easier.

			<description><![CDATA[ These rods did not enter the scene until the 40s or 50s and there appears to be more logos, guide spacings and wrap colors than first relized when Michael
Sinclair published his book.  The wraps on my rod are a dark steel blue.  Tough match but I had one spool of Belding Corticelli that is real close.  It is a
very responsive little rod despite looking like it was roughed out with a chain saw.  Regarding the all snakes thing, I guess they figured if Leonard could get

			<description><![CDATA[ <p>The Tonka Prince originally did not have a stripping guide, just one large snake near the ferrule on the butt section. I&#39;ve refinished 3 of them and
seen several other originals.  I&#39;ve added a Mildrum stripping guide to all of them I&#39;ve worked with, and re-spaced all the guides using 7 snakes, the
stripper, and tiptop. The rods cast like a dream when finished.</p> ]]></description>

			<description><![CDATA[ Now I have a dilemma.  Your rod has a ceramic stripper and Dan&#39;s rod has a snake.  Must be different eras.  This rod has a leaping fish logo on top of a
white diamond with H-I in red and UTICA , N. Y.  in small black letters under the H-I.  Michael Sinclair does not show or mention this logo in his restoration
book.  50 lashes with an old 9&#39; Horrocks Ibottson metal rod.  I will go with the ceramic guide.  A little classier and this rod could use a little more
