I spent the weekend fishing with my brother and testing out one of my newer bamboo rods. We headed out around noon Saturday to avoid the worst of a nice April
snow storm and finally made it to our hotel about 7 hours later. We checked in, ate, changed into some warm clothes and hit the water for some night fishing.
We got on the water just as the canyon started getting dark. Once at our spot we rigged up my 8&#39;2&quot; 6 weight &quot;Freestoner&quot; rod for only her

Winston, I had a pretty standard double nymph rig. Some of the more successful flies were small black leeches, eggs, and red midge larva and pupa.

Maruoff, That&#39;s actually exactly what I&#39;m looking forward to now. Fishing at night in below freezing conditions for big, tough fish isn&#39;t exactly
what you&#39;d consider low stress fishing. Pretty much everything around me is blown out now so for the next few weeks I&#39;ll probably be concentrating on... ]]></description>

Well my brother and I made it back this weekend for a few more days of late night fishing, bamboo and some more big trout.
<br>

The first night I settled the score with the big guy I lost last time. Not sure if it was the same fish as there are more than a couple this size. But this guy
taped out at 31&quot; long by 19&quot; in girth!

			<description><![CDATA[ Looks like a piece of PUBLIC water to the Gnome. It is only 1/4 mile long (public access, with the river actually being fairly short below the dam 10 to 20
miles long) and is a tail water that has a resevoir full of Mysis shrimp above it and it is not the Pan.

Could very well be part of the headwaters of the Gunnison.
