The Leica or Lumix/Panasonic version DMC-LX2 (same thing) are barely bigger than a cigerette pack, but you have good zoom, great point and shoot programming,

I recently got an LX3 and am also very happy with it, seconding Kai's praise. Yes, there are times I wish it had a longer tele (and have thought about
getting a 1.7X converter) and it would be great if it were waterproof but if I look at it in "rod terms" it's a question of whether I want an
all-around rod that will work fairly well in most situations but not great in most or do I want the (close to) perfect rod for 80% of the water I fish. Guess
I chose the latter.

I have an LX3 I considered buying a Canon G10, but what really put me off was the size of the G10. The LX3 fits in my shirt pocket or the chest pocket on my
various jackets. The G10 does not. A very important feature of a pocket camera for me was that it is pocketable. If I have to keep in in a bag or a backpack or
a waist pack or strap-on case, I'd just as soon get a small DSLR. I've used the LX3 for a while and am very pleased with it. Picture quality is
excellent. Not quite as good...

I am probably a bit pedantic about my cameras, so I tend to make sure it's always protected. I have a Lowepro case that's rain-proof and use that

to open and get the camera out, but I prefer that to drowning a new camera. Perhaps when it's a year old I may not be so careful. Sometimes I'll just

When I decided to buy a new camera I looked at all my past photos and asked myself what I liked about them or what could have been better. Mostly I had issues

nohackle, I wouldn't say the macro is the camera's strongest feature and there are certainly cameras out there that can do a better job, but for me I
think the camera is a pretty good compromise with a good zoom range. I bought it mainly because of the wide angle lense and the improved dynamic range. I alway
find macro shots tricky and usually take quite a number of the same shot in the hope that I get a good one. And I still do that with this camera. I'll also

If you get a chance to post some images could you add some macros as well. I played around with the predecessor to the 200, the F100fd and was somewhat
disappointed in its macro capabilities. Certainly could have been the photographers fault . I was very impressed however with the low light performance of the F100fd and
