A recent acquisition included the items show in the display case in my hand. The flies appear to me to be from at least a couple of different time frames,
perhaps 1880 & 1900. All are snelled (or snooded), and there are some delicate little wets in the mix. The real bonus was the Prichard Brothers leaders in
the envelopes, rare paper items for sure, and now I know that even though I've seen their name printed with a T in it, that's not the way they
spelled it.

Jeff, Great find! I think even the Pritchard/Prichard Brothers were confused on how to spell their names. Witness the following ad from Spirit of the
Times run throughout 1847:

Thanks, Jeff. Green Hart? - God, I love this stuff. Now - I keep hoping that someone will post a find for flies signed by John McBride or his daughter Sara
McBride. She was the only tie-er (sp?) of flies cited at the 1876 Centennial Exposition in Philadelphia..

There were quite a few leaders in the buy, most of them in folded pieces of paper. The leaders in the Prichard envelopes all had little loops of thread holding
the coils together. Nice early touch.

Great find, Jeff. Can you add pictures of the Pritchard paper?

Yes and no on the name spelling. The 1859 patent for the tubular guides mounted atop the ferrules was issued to and signed by "Henry Pritchard." The
witness for that patent application was his brother "Thomas Prichard." Both the 1881 and 1888 rod patents were issued to and signed by "Henry
Prichard." Sounds like they anglicized the name. Henry capitulated last.
