and e-mail connections for the shop are not too reliable - he said to do the order by phone (215-886-7211). I received the threads promptly, and while they are
slightly thicker than some of the other threads I have used, they will work nicely for the restorations I&#39;m working on. Make sure you set aside a little

			<description><![CDATA[ the fascination with small thread is a mania of the new millennium. i have had older generation builders literally laugh about wrapping a rod with gossamer.
they were building rods to sell was their thinking.

there is always some danger of imprinting modern thinking and practices on past action. i have heard more than a few historians do the same thing though

			<description><![CDATA[ I have no idea. BUT, I would guess that, since they are Brits, they would use a Brit company&#39;s silk. My best guess would be Pearsall&#39;s. Either naples
or Gossamer, or a combination of both. ]]></description>
