I recently acquired a 7 1/2', 2/2, Heddon #10 Blue Waters Featherweight in tattered bag and dirty capless tube that is full length, heavily over varnished
(should be removed), needs the guides rewraped, with the cork grip and reel seat in very good condition. In other words, it needs restoration. I would
appreciate opinions on the value before and after restoration. If anyone interested in the rod as is , please contact me. Thanks in advance for any input.

Ray I lucked into the same rod myself this spring and have fished it several times now. Not that I am an expert on bamboo, but it casts very nice and has been
a lot of fun. Good luck with it.

The ferrule size should be 0 3/4f. A very nice rod. I have fished mine a few times and fine it very nice. Since it is a 2/2 rod, it was built between 1949 and
1952. Definately worth the prices quoted.

I just picked up that rod in almost that exact condition...and considered it a steal at $275...that's not to say that is its value as I agree with the
above $500, even after being restored. Mine has one tip down 1" and I will probably scarf it to its original length but would not hesitate to fish it at
that length either...I have always felt that if all the parts are there, then I just back out what it would take to get them all into fishing shape. I will say
that I don't think...

Ray, a nice ready to go 7 1/2' # 10 would probably sell for about $500. I'm guessing that you'd get $300 - $350 (and maybe a bit more from a
do-it-yourselfer) to offset the cost of bringing it back to fishing condition. My .02.
