Reels You Regret Selling?

How many of you have sold a reel which you later regretted? The reason I ask is that I buy plenty of tackle, and sell very little. Only once have I bought, and
later sold, a reel which I wish I had kept - a St. George Jr. repro LHW (the buyer from me got a great deal, you know who you are!). Last night I was able to
buy another, at a very fair (given current market prices, albeit more than I sold mine for) price.

So - which reels have you sold which you have regretted?

Mystery reel. Wadham? So-called "character reel"? It was pretty small, maybe 2.5 inches. 2-3wt with the dished spool. "Large" arbor.
I sold it and then wished I had it back. I thought I had tracked down the owner, but the guy on the other end of the phone was extremely elusive and
unhelpful, claimed he did not have the reel. It was odd, since I was offering a significant amount of money to obtain it once more. Oh well. I couldn't
find my other picture,...

Nothing strange about the 1928-34 Shakespeare Russells, and their variants (Heddon Little Rivers below). They are amazingly good reels, with our without agates

I certainly wish I had the one you sold, Mark.

I would regret selling some of the reels I own now, but every reel I have sold along the way has been for a good cause.

Just yesterday I sold a really nice two-screw Princess that is in magnificent shape and is a reel I dearly love.

However, a new rod just got finished and funds needed to be raised, and with my current collection of rods, the Princess was sitting on the bench at the moment
and was expendable.
I love the sound of a screaming Princess above all others, and I love the way the reel works equally well on 5wt and 6wt rods. A truly versatile piece that I
will miss.
