I don't mean to speak for Michael (Sinclair--I assume that's who you asked for), he's been in the Hospital of late.

You are correct, the red agatine stripping guide is most often seen on the Champion grade rods. However, if the shop was running low on the Perfection stripping guides that were used on the Victory and higher grades, I wouldn't be too surprised to see the agatine type applied to the next-to-the-lowest grade rod, that being the Victory. I have before me, a 8642 Goodwin Granger Victory-it appears to be completely original, but has about a 6mm. Red agatine stripping guide. I own Granger Champions with this red agatine, but I'm curious as to whether this could actually be original-Mike are you out there?-I was speculating that if production was scheduled for Victory, and that component was not available, perhaps the agatine was substituted? Any ideas? Anyone else have or seen one?
