I had a beautifully restored Bristol Edwards f7 8.5, plus an unrestored twin. I can find them anywhere. They may be in the under floor storage of an suv that
I sold 2 years ago. Or I might have left them at a bamboo get-together. Or they're still somewhere in the house. In the course of the search, I
re-discovered an old SA reel, plus a graphite rod. The bottom line - I have too much stuff to keep track of.

I suggested to a friend that he catalog his rods........ To get an accurate list of what he had. There was a week or so of phone calls, telling me that he

My suggestion to his wife, was that for the next few birthdays and Christmases that she go down into the basement, select a tube and wrap the gift accordingly.

For the more competitive among us, there will never be enough rods/time/money.

Benny Hill said , "If one isn't enough, a thousand isn't too many". I know he was thinking of fly rods.

When I just fish one rod........ I think I catch more fish. Why don't I do it?

I agree that you can not have too many rods. I have 261 catalogued and a couple laying around that need to be added. My biggest problem is deciding which rods
to take when I go fishing. I have a couple I always want to take along, but also want to try each of those in good condition. Fortunately, my wife knows I
could have much worse hobbies and is quite understanding. Also, shortly after a new rod arrives, there is a significant increase in quilting material that I
must step around.

Lately, I've been trying to catch up on cataloging my rods, since I've gotten a little behind. My records show a few more than 150 rods, but I did a
physical count one evening a couple months ago. It took 2 glasses of wine and over an hour and a half to find that I had 204 rods here, and another 8 on their
way, or out for repairs. It was sure fun re-discovering some of my rods that I hadn't seen for a while!
