The closest I will ever get to salmon fishing would be the supermarket fish isle

I am going to tye them and mail them to him asap. Thanks, CJ

i learned how to flyfish at 12 years old on them rivers for atlantic salmon , i spent many many days throwing flies to no fish , when they in the pools , even
then can be tricky , but from all the reports i get from my ol salmon fishing friends , last year was as good as they ever seen it , all over the east coast i
guess and they say only going to get better , i'm thinking of taking...

Well, here's my opinion, as one who once had the good fortune to spend time on the Miramichi every year for a decade. The thing we anglers who are trained
on trout often care most about - which fly pattern to select - is the least important thing. First concern is, in general, "Are there any salmon in the
river?" and, in specific, "Are there any salmon in this pool that I'm fishing?" Often there are no salmon, so choice of fly is irrelevant.
When salmon are...

CJ, I would guess that your friend is a first time salmon fisherman, right? This question isn't as simple as it looks, fly selection is a very subjective
thing and each fisherman has his or her "go to flies". Now your friend will be fishing in N.B. which means that he will have a guide to help him
along and the guide should have his own idea of "what works". That said, all of the flies listed above will work at one time or another, and the
bomber and buck bug...

Needed hook sizes can vary, due to rainfall amounts and whether your friend fishes the Main SW Miramichi, or a small tributary river. Sizes 2 through 12 should
be safe, with the mid- to smaller sizes most likely to be used.
