I went back to the shop and was able to snap some photos. The only rod of interest is a 1932 Hardy. It is in it's original bag, but no case. It has
ferrule plugs, light green wraps and the varnish is in great shape. It looks pretty darn close to untouched. It is in three pieces (about 9') with an
extra tip that is broken. It is penned on the rod with a patenet number and some script that seams to say"economy...something or other"--can't

Hi Chris , As a NZer who has been making and also collecting cane rods for many years I have a pretty good knowledge of values in NZ and internationally.
Unfortunately relateively few of these Hardy rods have much value. They are mainly the "British" type of taper that may be ok for some English
rivers but not much good elsewhere. If you want some advise on a rod send me an email at iank@ts.co.nz

cheers
