Line for 6 foot Wulff Midge?

I recently received a 6 foot Wulff midge rod and I am currently fishing it with a silk DT 4 wt and a 1903 Bougle Repro. I have this nutty idea of taking it up
for LL salmon this fall. I figure if I load it with a 100 yds. of backing and a "trimmed to fit" WF 4 wt I might do OK. The question is which plastic
WF line do folks like on this rod?

Thanks for the input guys. This is an older Norm Thompson rod, which I understood ( probably wrongly) to be a 4 wt. So far I have only tried it with a 4 wt but
I expect to try a 5 wt on it this weekend, if it don't rain. I have silk in 4, 5, and 6 so I have it covered for everyday use. For a week of LL Salmon
though I thought I would forgo the silk and use plastic. Not as much fun, but easier to deal with.

If it's an original 6' Wulff Midge from the 1960's then you might try a 6 wt or a Wulff TT 5/6. Those rods were made for a 6 IIRC (Jeffkn1 has an
original catalog that he posted in April '08 but the image is now gone).
If it's the newer version currently available from Royal Wulff products then a 5wt might do the trick.
Good luck with the Salmon!!

I don't have that rod. Regardless, would try an SA GPX WF4. I like this line on a couple of short, sturdy 4wts.
