I just think that as long as I have to mow the whole area anyways to get the hair-plug of grass here and there it might as well be a nice looking lawn.

You do realize that if grass grows it has to be cut? And that the amount of time spent cutting grass disproportionately cuts into fishing time? Since fishing time is a "positive" against your lifespan (makes you live longer), while cutting grass is a negative (decreases your lifespan), you don't want a lawn.
