Hey Paul,
Yup...one more. I actually bought this rod the day prior to you and I heading to the Pan. If I hear of any Hawes I'll be sure to let you know...not many
of them floating around! I would bet the PMD's are already going strong on the Pan...and probably the first of the Green Drakes. A great time to be in
that area as both the Pan and Fork get sweet hatches of each. Even the Crystal gets in on the action and thats one beautiful river. <img...

Thanks Patrick. As you know, I'm on the hunt for an Icely, but no luck yet. Real beautiful rods as your book shows. I really like this rod alot. I
think EW really did something special with the A&I's and A&F's. Seems he decked them out a little and tried different wrap configurations and
colors. You've seen that Triton I have and I have yet to see an Edwards with those signature wraps. Also, seems he liked adding the full tip wraps on
some of the A&I and...

When I first just glanced at your photos, CR, w/o digging into the description, I thought you'd found another Icely. The wraps are so similar... Gold,
narrow intermediates... the same ferrules... same agate guide... the Icely tiptops are both red agates, but are also tiny, tiny. The Icely dates at about 1925,
so that's a likely date for your Touradif. Extraordinary.

I fully endorse tip wraps from tip-top down to the tip guide for user rods. Especially on Granger 8642s- which are legendary tapers, but which seem to have
more 1"-4" short tips than any other rod model I've ever seen. I'm sure a silk thread overwrap- or even double overwrap- would make a
positive difference. For that matter, a lot of classic light-line taper 8 1/2' rods seem to have problems with missing that last 2"-4".

That's a great deal on...

Thanks for the pics CR, I often wonder why more manufacturers didn't do these tip wraps. Seems like it would go a long way to prevent the broken tips we

Hey Todd,
See below. This is a 7' A&I EW Edwards "DeLuxe. I didn't take this pic so it doesn't show the full length of the wraps, but it goes to
the last guide. Let me know if you want me to take a pic of this and post. The other rod with the full tip wraps was actually a high qaulity Gene Edwards AKF
"Sprite" and not an EW...my bad. I think in Patricks book there is a pic of a 7' Brewer A&F with the full tip wraps and the same color wraps
as...

Great score. I always look at the yabe ads with not enough info and poor pics. I have come out smelling like a rose a few times, but more than once came out
smelling like excrement. Once I got a great heddon #8 for $65.00. And once I paid $250.00 for a 7 1/2, 2/1 Sewell Dunton that looked like a 3 year old
tried to repair the broken tip section. Win some, loose some, just like fishing.
