Thanks for the spiritual guidance and prayers, Pat. It's so uplifting that I'm already looking forward to the next trip, despite the fact that I'll probably be slandered again by the ungrateful Bearded Bohemian after we return.
As for my German teacher, the poor misguided woman was evidently a maniacal member of the German American Bund, which was slightly right of Attila the Hun, but WWII kinda shut it down and it never really resurfaced after the war. I had a lot of fun...

I calls em like I see em and by the line they actually cast well for me with a leader, tippet and fly attached, not by what's written on the rod or what the maker would like it to be.

PS - The brown Spotted Dace that I "snagged-in-the-sccissors" on my third cast was the biggest caught yesterday !

Yup, while I was using a blue wing olive DRY FLY, in the best tradition of fly fishing, BH Boobie, true to his moniker, was rigging up his normal 9 beadhead rig to dredge the stream. No wonder it takes him so long to get into the water, and if I hadn't started, I'd have had to take one of my famous naps waiting for him to get dressed and rigged up. It's worse than a girl getting ready for a prom, for crying out loud. Not to mention his wearing one of everything Orvis has ever...

Yeh, it was REALLY nice to see the "Elderly Gentleman"(?) shivering in the wind for a while, nose running, lips quivering ... and I thought it was because he was to "Gofish"ing with me !

Since I had to rustle through my "reserve" clothing for awhile to keep the semi-naked old guy from scaring the Cheese Country Spotted Dace with all his shivering, I was a still getting suited up when he "graciously"(?) offered to...

Today was the big day. A lot of fun with rainbows and brownies hitting small bugs on the surface.
With some regret, I have to rethink some of my remarks about Boobie. They're all factual, of course, but he saved my scrawny butt from a lot of suffering today when I showed up for our trip in a short sleeve shirt. Did a "pre-fish" without BH Boobie today. Very small bugs coming off, size 20 or so. Lots of fish, rainbows and browns, on a normally busy creek without competition.

Hope everyone is sitting down ! I called the "Elderly Gentleman"(?) today to see if he could stay awake for a few hours this coming Friday and "Gofish"ing with me in Cheese Country. Must have caught him by surprise, as he couldn't think of an excuse not to go.

90 degrees plus? Here is baked bean country (Boston) our highs all week are in the 60's with rain rain and a little more rain. Had one nice day last week. Could not fish the rivers, all completely blown out,just like they have been seince about the first of March. I might head up to the Millers River this weekend, if the flows drop out of the ark building range. It rained 21 days in June this year, most since records have been kept. Only had maybe 2 days approach 80, three or four broke...

The tiger trout stocked here in the people's commonwealth are the progeny of female browns and male brookies. They are very voracious, and I believe they are sterile, and not nearly as handsome as either of their parents. Don't know why the state even bothers with them.

You are correct (something the "elderly gentleman" (?) isn't ... well, at least when I'm around. Also, a couple days ago, caught 13 of the little buggers (the spotted type, not the striped type) in a row on the BHPTSH.

Ralphie, Ralphie, Ralphie. Can't you see we really like and appreciate each other, and merely use this medium to keep the other guy on the straight and narrow.
For example, Boobie wouldn't even think about producing a plastic rod when we are fishing for fear of the post that would certainly appear here. We're still working on the multiple beadheads in tandem setup, but some things go slowly and real progress and change even slower.

Arrrrrrrrrrrgh!!!! You two!!! I'm just a bit busy with trying to figure out what to do with a 91 year old mother that appears to be on a down hill slide.

We are likewise suffering with temps in the 90s, but surprisingly enough after about 2PM there is enough shade on our tailwater to make things very comfortable. I can drive up, fish for a couple hours, and drive back to decision making land a bit more relaxed.

It's time for you two boys to join hands and sing...

Aye you Old F_ _ t Am slowly heading back home after a week in Cheese Country ..... temps each day in the 90s, so early morning fishing, an afternoon rest / nap (just like the "elderly gentleman"(?) does ... then fish for the SPotted Dace each evening. Biggest problem, finding food after 2200 hrs each evening. First day there, (for lunch) grilled steaks, did the usual hash browns and veggies and after two bottles of Merlot, the other three guys decided that there would be no further...
