Congrats on your first rod. I took the class last year and had an awesome time also. My first rod was a Payne 101 , but seeing those guys and Kat got me hooked
I just finished gluing up my 3rd rod and started rough planing my 4th. Funny thing is even running an electrical company I find spare time to do it . I tried
to get up there the 1st Sat to do some fishing and see everybody but the weather was not cooperating. Hopefully your new addiction is not as bad as some of
us. Enjoy.

knowledge he was so willing to share. I could only make token payments of single malt in return. . I can see a catch 22 developing here, the need for time for
building more rods may inversely affect the amount of time available to fish those rods. Not to mention the lost time I find my self spending looking at reels
worthy of another...

Good for you, that came out beautiful. I was talking to Mike [the visiting rodmaker] and he told me your class was great, everyone was working hard and seemed
to be having fun. Dave, Kathy and Art are a great bunch, you will look back on that week many times as you continue making rods. CJ

Way to go, Wiscoy! You're hooked now. No one can make just one rod.

You had a bevy of excellent instructors. I'm certain they made the learning curve a little shorter for you.
