I have read that the best cork goes to the champagne industry. With that in mind, I would like to make some really nice cork grips. So, next time I go to
make a grip, I am first going to the wine shop and buy about 12 to 15 bottles of their finest champagne. I will then proceed to open each bottle, consume the
contents and saw off the larger portion of the cork. Pretty soon I should have some of the finest cork rings available. That is gonna be one beautiful rod.

I will keep everyone...

100 million corks a year, and they are not interested in the rod building industry in any way, shape or form.
A noble endeavour doing the necessary saving of corks............... even though wine corks are cut on a bias (90 degrees), compared to rod corks.

The only commercial rodmaker who used corks like this was...
