			<description><![CDATA[ Megoff titanium reels are made in the Ukraine. The company has been in business for quite a few years now and its product lineup is constantly upgraded. The
VR23, evidently now called the S&amp;P 23, is still available new and is quite attractively priced for a titanium product. There has been quite a bit of
collaboration between Hardy and Megoff of late so I would guess this reel was used as the model for the Marksman. Considering how little more the VR23 is in
price it&#39;s amazing more... ]]></description>

I don&#39;t buy for a second that the blurb you got off a website does any justice to somebody who just spent $1,500 on a new cascapedia. A marksman, maybe,

idea of Hardy mysteriously selling reels that cost more with what probably amounts to major drops in their production cost. Do they think that consumers are

Three weeks ago I picked up a Cascapedia in a store that someone had ordered.  As I looked at it something seemed not right and I couldn&#39;t place it at
first.  It&#39;s going to seem obvious when I say it, but it didn&#39;t at first.  It was missing the &quot;Made in England&quot; on the side of the reel. 
When I asked to see box, the box was same as the boxes that Marksman and the Zane.

I remember petting reels in fly shops in the early 80s. Those days are all but gone. Within a 120-mile radius of me, there are two fly shops where there used
to be two dozen. Of course we&#39;ve added a Cabelas and Bass Pro. But I&#39;m sure that Bass Pro and Cabelas sell 30-50 times as much from their catalogs or

I used to live in Portland, Oregon and visited Kaufmann&#39;s quite often so I know that they can afford to stock just about anything they want plus they
seemed to carry a lot of weight with the manufacturers. Maybe Marriot&#39;s and Dan Bailey&#39;s are the same. I know a lot of Kaufmann&#39;s customers could
afford just about anything as well. I do like Kiene&#39;s shop, no pressure, no hype and a friendly helpful attitude, at least that&#39;s been my experience so
