Thanks - I must admit that I do like the intermediates. Especially nice to me when the sunlight and shadows dapple on the rod... I am amazed at some vintage less costly production rods with very intricate intermediates - labor costs musta been so low... but beautiful...

Must be said again, we are lucky to have so many talented restorationists out there. Thank you, Michael Sinclair, wonderful restoration of this Denver Special. All original and sound, just a few replacement vintage guides.
Now, can someone beam me to a YNP meadow section of my favorite hike ins? Please... oh, perhaps a little earlier in the summer season?

But "Circassian walnut" trips off the tongue like "Corinthian leather". "English walnut" is English walnut.

I took the new rod out on the Pecos River here in New Mexico this past weekend...............Sweet. It's a Jeff Pope, (forum member rod maker) on a 7' 9" 5 wt. 2/1, Garrison 209E taper. The wraps are clear with olive tippings and intermediates, (which I prefer). This is Jeff's 47th rod. With more bamboo rod makers now than ever, this guy stands out with good style and craftsmanship, Thanks Jeff. KERMIT

Thanks guys. Yes - I sure liked that rod look also but was very surprised at how well it cast. It may become my main "go to" rod. Mark got his inspiration for the wood grip based on the Heddon 60.

It has been a while since I did this last.
Since our board has been wiped out.
What rod(s) have you received in the last 60 days?
How do you like the rod(s)?
Myself there has been only one.
An 8 ft 3piece Hawes. Made for A&F
It is a fine rod, I know it is not very common.
Would put the casting between my F.E. Thomas 8 ft and my Chubb 8 ft.
Not a fast rod, but very forgiving and will set a fly down on a china plate with out a bounce.
