First,i have no financial interest with Mr.Gallas,i just happen to like rods he makes.He is now offering Halstead Tribute rods,i think they are very interesting,allthought i have only seen pictures of them.

I've had the pleasure of casting the Auguste One's 7'9" Gallas and it is as fine a rod as you could want. A pure joy to cast. I covet it.

Last summer I had the pleasure to visit John at his shop in Danbury as I wanted to cast his various actions to decide which to purchase. During my visit I asked him where he got all of the components he used, and to my surprise he spent the next two hours teaching me how to make caps, ring seats, ferrules, use of knurling tools, etc...on his lathe. I spent a good deal of time with him this past Saturday, casting his rods and some of mine.
I now have one of his "Hendrickson's"(7'9" 2/2 for 5wt) on order and just wondered if others also...
