I believe gimlet-eyed angler is on the list of proscribed terms, Bill, and if it isn't, it certainly should be. S__t-faced worm slinger is definitely redundant. At this rate, everything will be on the proscribed list and no one will be able to say anything. I'm sure the administration is relieved.

I'll try to pull together the official list as a matter of record.

Bob, did we rule out gimlet-eyed angler as being too derivative,
even redundant--simply the result of spending too much time around
gin-clear or vodka-transparent flows rather than a synonym for
genuine sharp-sightedness? For my part, I much prefer pie-eyed
fly flipper or even s__t-faced worm slinger as more memorably
descriptive and accessible to almost any reader. But, as old VWBs
