For those of you who'd like a copy of Bill's list, (consisting of BAMBOO flyrods, FYI Boobie), call him at (734) 475-5948.
For BH Boobie, known far and wide as the mighty fisher of 4" creek chubs with 9' 9 wt. plastic rods- You are correct, Sir. In fact, awakening each morning, one of my first thoughts is "The Good Lord has given me another day to annoy Boobie", and I try to do my best. gofish |

Evil Bill McRoy Destroys Myth!! | #10
|
The ever evil, black rum drinking Bill McRoy has managed to destroy several Forum topic strings on "soft prices", no collectibles left, etc. His new list of 50 premium rods plus some "ash and trash" stuff like Hardy and Leonard reels is on the street. Some of the really good stuff is already gone, so you better pick up your phone and call if you want something. How about a nice little "Pinky" Gillum for $6200? Or maybe a PHY Para 15 at $3095? Or how about a $3500 Summers 275 (sold I'm told)? Lots of nice Leonards, Halsteads, and Winstons to round out the list... and for you of the less affluent ilk, there are some interesting Orvis and Heddon rods. It took me several tries this PM once my catalog reached my door to get through to him... his phone was always busy, which either says that momma was yakking on the machine, or Bill was selling... and from the chuckle in his voice I believe the latter. If my European buddies need anything I be happy to take delivery and bring them over... all it will cost you is the airplane ticket and a week at my favorite little spot in the Schwartzwald. Hint, hint. If your catalog hasn't gotten there yet you'd better call quick and find out what's still available. Ralph

PHY Para 15 #4098 on Bill's list was on display November 2007 at Bob Corsetti's booth, Lang's Tackle Show, Boxborough, MA, where I took these
photos:
Quashnet's Paul H. Young Rod Database has photos and descriptions of over
330 PHY Co. rods, plus catalogs, accessories, etc. Thank you to all
who continue to send me PHY rod photos and info.

Update and Clarifications | #12
|
I was talking to Bill McRoy this AM about some possible purchases and he commented that not "all" the fancy collectibles are gone, so make sure you
check in with him if there's something you're interested in. I had a question for him relative to the Montague/Orvis that he has listed... I wondered
if it was impregnated or varnished... and he said it was impregnated... but no S/N. He also has another very early Orvis that didn't make the list... an
8'6" impregnated... s/n 895.

A very nice selection of quality, mint or near mint rods on Bill's latest list.
I noticed there are quite a few restored rods too. Regards, Flyman
