I'm am avid fly-fisher, but I am very new to the classic rod segment. I recently dug up my great grandfather's bamboo fly rod that we believe he might
have been using as far back as the 1920's. I'm looking for some guidance on what brand/model it is, when it was made, the value of it (if any), and any
other info I can dig up.
The only identifying mark on it is some sort of logo just above the handle. It looks almost like some sort of British family crest. It's a nine foot rod, and I unsure of what weight it is. It also has a choice of three different rod tips. Each has a different width and stiffness to it (I'm guessing they had different uses; ex: the small one for small dry flies and the large for streamers?). It also came with a wooden case (not sure if it is the original or not). Please see the pictures...
