There are too many modern classics to list. Too many nice scotches; too many nice cigars; etc... My vote for true classics among living bamboo rod builders, at
this stage of their careers, are John Bradford and Walt Carpenter! This is not intended as a slight towards the other many fine living bamboo rod builders, and
there are quite a few who I much admire. But, when I think of longevity and the truth to their craft and to the history of bamboo rods, these two men quickly
come to mind. Ric
