Hi All
I have just aquired a Hardy St..John ,2 screw model with a single adjusting pawl and spring .There is another pawl and spring for a spare .Previous owner was using it as a left hand drive but having played with the adjustable pawl I am inclined to think that it can only be set up as a right hand drive .which ever way you adjust the pawl it works but in my view not with the correct resistance or lack of, and the wrong sound .Many St.johns I have seen before have two adjustable pawls.Does anyone have access to the papers for this type of reel ?.I have no idea of its age but it works perfectly .Any help would be appreciated
I split this off from the Hardy Papers thread - that's not where it belongs. Thanks, Ron Mc
