Thanks! C

A good gunsmithing set would be your best bet---it usually will have the size you need. It also depends on if the the slot is in metric or inch
dimensions the slots on the small screws on my reels are 1mmx3.5mm I use drivers from PB bauman--Swiss, it is a perfect fit. Usually if the reel is made overseas the screws are metric and american reels have screws that are in inch dimensions. Hope this helps, Stefan |

Just a thought here.
I thought "gunsmith screwdrivers" were basically a set of screwdrivers thet were custom ground to fit the application. Could you do something like that and just grind a driver to meet your needs? Worked for me... |

For use on reels, I'm partial to Wiha. These are the only small size screwdrivers I have ever bought that did not turn out to be junk.

The Chapman set that Bulldog recommended (Thanks!) a long time ago on this forum (for gunsmiths) seem to me to be the best I have found. I looked at the Wiha
offerings in a local store, and by comparison to the Chapmans, seemed like regular screwdrivers rather than blunt-ended drivers made to fit gun screws. Maybe
I didn't see all the Wihi offerings, but one wants to avoid drivers that, while they do work a few times, don't fit the screw slot EXACTLY and might
damage the screwhead. If there are particular Wihi sets that would be recommended, a link to those would be great (I may have missed the specific
drivers)..... THanks all/
