With the untimely passing of this important maker, I just got to wondering if another maker had taken over his shop, equipment etc? Anyone carrying on
George's tradition?
Thanks,
Tom

Tom,
I'm not sure what the arrangement is, but I think the Dietrich brothers, Wyatt and (I can't remember his name for the life of me though I sat next to him at supper two weeks ago) are doing some things with George's SweetWater rods.

Tom, I second Harry's remarks...and I too can not recall Wyatt's brothers name! I think they are the folks to contact. I am the proud owner of a
Dietrich Bros. rod, extremely handsome and efficient, too! Wyatt offered to build it for me in exchange for a watercolor of their friend and mentor, George
Maurer fishing a gem of a PA freestone creek.
Tom, I don't know where you live but Wyatt just e-mailed me to say that he'll be at the Bethesda, MD show coming up.

I believe Wyatt's brother's name is Rob. Great guy, like Wyatt.

Apparently there has been some consideration that George's oldest daughter may want to carry on the tradition of building Sweetwater Rods.
