I saw that hook on an older google. You fish it with two leaders, one shorter than the other. When you set the hook the the two work in concert with each to
get abetter hook-up. I'll see if I can find the site for you.

This hook is a Herter's Parachute Custom Dry Fly Hook Model 432. The eye on top of the verical shank prevents the parachute hackle from sliding off of the
post. I have some in size 8 and size 12. The description on the box is: Forged Shank, Hollow Point, Double Bronzed, Reversed eye, 1X Fine Wire, Regular Length
Shank. Manufactured of genuine Sheffield steel in England. They are great hooks and I am constantly on the lookout for them on collector sites. I will try to
post a picture of the box when I receive my new digital camera later this week. I would appreciate it if you know of anyone that wants to part with any size of
this style hook.

Did Partridge make a parachute hook without the eye. Check out some unique hooks in the "old hooks" section of hook collection |

Thank you gentlemen,, I always know where to come when i need info
My first thought was a Partridge Capt. Hamilton but the second eye threw me. I have seen hooks in the past that were similar but never with the second eye. Thanks again guys!!! Hardy Guy nayashewan. I found two lone hooks in the bottom of a box containing a bunch of old hooks,, sorry, just enough to add to my collection

Hardy Guy,
I don't know what size the ones you have are, but I can send you a #8 and a #12 if you want those for your collection also. Just let me know. Regards, Nayashewon |

I *think* I found the purpose of your hook with the eyed post. These images are from the 1937 Hardy's Anglers' Guide. The hooks themselves aren't
cataloged, only the flies.

Those are facinating looking hooks. Let me know if anyone has a couple of extra for my collection.
Often I have been exhausted on trout streams, uncomfortable, wet, cold, briar scarred, sunburned,
mosquito bitten, but never, with a fly rod in my hand have I been in a place that was less than beautiful.
