can I get an amen out there? I just supported the country of France whose energy requirement is 80% satisfied by nuclear energy! And when I first heard of
phoenix lines, I thought they came from Arizona! Imagine my chagrin! Oh these lines look just too sweet all coiled up in their corregated cardboard boxes!
Can't wait to take em down to the boys whose only exposure to expensive lines is sharkskin whose casting noise is similar to the takeoff sound of a 747!
And, will remove the skin off your fingers faster than a ripping bonefish.

so your feeling is that the line weights on the box from phoenix should be reduced by 1?

Good going!
I too have a DT4 and a DT5 from Phoenix somewhere. Hope to try the DT5 for my 4 weight rod this spring. |

Interesting, I've got 4 and 5-wt Phoenix lines that I use as 3 and 4-wts. Terenzio's are much more accurate in terms of rated weight. Quality wise,
both are great lines.

You guys fishing the phoenix silk lines, what diameter reel to you put your DT6 line on? I have a 3" Dingley Perfect coming and am wondering how much
backing this reel can handle with this line.
From the posts I've read regarding Phoenix lines, looks like I have plenty of experimentation to do to find the ultimate rod/reel/line weight combo. |

I use my Phoenix 6 wt. on a Peerless 1.5. That is a 3" reel and there is plenty of room.

I put the Phoenix DT5 on a Bellinger 3.25" Classic, and there was really only enough for about 40yds of Wulff gelspun (probably only 30 of normal micron).
