In this case the fingers belong to Greg Strong, one of the Country's best show dog handlers. He frequently appears on TV shows. This picture was taken when Dancer got his first two points. They don"t shed, they don't smell when hot and wet, and they don't yip. As smart as the smartest of breeds. During the middle ages they were used to guard merchant wagons and to keep farms free of rats and other undesirable creatures. Like many breeds they are usually "one man dogs". Easily trained as obedience dogs. Rarely aggressive, they love children. Not as lovable as Goldens or Labs, they have an independent streak that sets them apart as individuals. They are good at just about everything. Dancer's brother, Sun Catcher, earns his keep as associate driver of a 16 wheeler. Schnauzers are successful competitor in breed, agility, obedience, and are good bomb sniffers, The breed is carefully controlled, there being a tacit agreement among owners not to breed dogs who have not attained their respective championship.
